started? Very easy! Sign Up: First, we won't even let you pay us a dime, until you have tried Carova.net out for yourself. Simply, click the "Sign Up" Button up top, and complete the entire form right online. Your account should be activated within 30 minutes (usually faster). Payment: After your 10 Day Trial is up, Carova.net will send you a friendly e-mail, letting you know that your Free Trial has expired and that in order for you to continue your service, you must provide payment. You will then have the option of canceling immediately, with absolutely no hassles by simply replying to the e-mail within 72 hours with "CANCEL PLEASE" in the e-mail. Yes. You can have full, unrestricted access via FTP and/or SSH (ENCRYPTED TELNET, one time setup fee may apply for SSH) and to your POP e-mail account 24 hours a day, around the world. The reason Telnet is banned is for security reasons. To ensure our 99.9% uptime guarantee, we have to make sure all information sent to our server is fully encrypted and untraceable. Top |

Domain? A Virtual Domain means having your own domain name (http://www.yourname.com) without having to install expensive server hardware and software. With a Virtual Domain, you utilize our server's storage space, however you are still professionally represented via your own personal Internet web address domain name (www.yourname.com) and by your own personal e-mail address domain name (you@your-name.com). | 10. | Who is the InterNIC?
The InterNIC is an independent organization responsible for holding the registration and routing of Internet domain names. Without them it may impossible to maintain order on the Internet. Our registration fee is $40 for the first two years and $20/year thereafter for your virtual domain name. If you decide to transfer your domain over to Carova.net, we will handle all aspects of switching your DNS information and you will not have to pay this fee to us however, you will have to pay for your domain through your registration company. my domain address with or without the "www"?
Yes, you will be able to access the domain address with or without the "www" in front of the domain name. Example: [http://www.your-name.com] or [http://your-name.com] is acceptable, whichever you prefer. Top |

dial-up Internet access? No, you will need local Internet access in order to maintain your web site and retrieve email addressed to your site. You will need to contact an Internet service provider. For a listing of service providers in your part of the world, please contact us via email. Top |

the domain registration process for .com, .net and .org domains?
Yes. Once your account is paid for, we handle the entire domain registration process - AT NO COST TO YOU OF COURSE. Please DO NOT submit a registration or modification template to the InterNIC as this will only delay the process. Top |
| 14. | Can I transfer
existing domain name to your servers? Yes, just be sure to specify that you are requesting a transfer and NOT a new domain. You should keep the service with your current provider while waiting for InterNIC to complete the transfer process. We will provide you with a temporary IP address so you can mirror the site on our server. All email and web pages will still be accessed from your current site. When InterNIC send you email telling you the transfer is complete of the there is a 72-hour propagation period where visitors could go to either site. At the end of the 72 hours you should contact your previous host to have them delete the old domain from their records and update their DNS record. If you use this same provider for your Internet access you will not be able to access your domain site until they update their DNS. Top |

it take before my domain name is active? Once the InterNIC announces that your domain name has been registered (or transferred, if applicable), it usually takes about 72-hours before it is active. The World Wide Web has become the most efficient and cost-effective means of making information available to the users of the Internet community and we encourage our customers to utilize their accounts for commercial purposes as long as they abide by our terms and conditions. it take to set up a new account? New accounts are generally set up within 30 minutes from the time we receive your order. Once an account is set up an activation notice will be sent to you via email including your user-ID, password, and FTP hostname.
